Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan

"I am so blessed to be in a Christian environment and part of a team that helps young students build up Christian values while receiving an excellent academic and co-curricular experience. I pray that the Lord will bless this school year and the community of GCCS."

Michael was raised in Sweet Home, Oregon. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Life Science at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, while also playing baseball for APU all 4 years. He continued his education, receiving his teaching credentials and Master’s of Education in Administration, from APU.

Michael began his teaching career at Walnut High School in Walnut, California, teaching biology and life science. Dissections and teaching ecology were major highlights. He also served as assistant freshman football coach and junior varsity baseball coach.

In December of 1997 Michael moved to Chester, California, and became the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director of Chester Jr/Sr High School (grades 7-12). In 2001, Michael became the principal and continued in that role until 2007. Michael and his wife Jodi attended Lake Almanor Community Church, a non-denominational church. He served two terms on the elder board, was involved in home groups, and taught Sunday school classes to adults and children.

Michael and Jodi have three children, Emily, Caleb and Matthew, who are now all involved at Grace Community. The Jordan family attends Grace Community Church and is very excited to be a part of the GCCS team.
